Active Playground Equipment is looking to fill the position of Installer, who, under the direction of the Installation Foreman, will primarily be responsible for performing various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of construction projects from start to finish. This position will load, unload, and identify building materials, products, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and supervisor’s specifications. This role will also adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times. The Installer must possess the following:
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various construction processes
- Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Minimum one-year experience in construction
Job Summary

Job Duties
- Perform various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of construction projects from start to finish
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, products, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and supervisor’s specifications
- Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, stakes, signage, and other relevant specifications
- Auger holes
- Assemble, erect and install playground and outdoor fitness equipment
- Mix and pour concrete footings
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using appropriate tools
- Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- Adhere to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
- Aid in construction sites to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, and safety codes
- Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects, and equipment problems
- Cut, drill, sand, or plane materials for snug fit
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
- Lubricate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools
